About Our Cuatro Amigos

Cuatro Amigos means “four friends”, and that is exactly how the plate is built — four full street tacos so you can try more than one filling in a single visit. Every taco starts with a warm tortilla pressed and griddled to order, then piled with slow-cooked meat, diced white onion, fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime, the way tacos are served on the street corners of Veracruz and Mexico City.

This is the plate we hand to first-time guests. It is generous enough for a full lunch or dinner, quick enough for a weekday break on Ness Ave, and flexible enough that everyone at the table can pick their own favourite. Pair it with our salsas — from gentle and smoky to properly hot — and you have the closest thing to a Mexican taqueria in west Winnipeg.

What Makes Our Cuatro Amigos Different

Nothing on this plate is pre-assembled. Tortillas are cooked to order, meats are seasoned and slow-cooked in house, and the salsas are made fresh in our kitchen every day. It is real Mexican street food from a family-owned taco shop — not a Tex-Mex version of it — and it is the reason guests keep telling us it tastes like home.
